The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Brent Mansfield has been working as a volunteer for LCHC since August 2018. On November 1st he officially retired from a 26 year career in the Army and was hired as a Wellness Coordinator. Brent has an extensive training background from his time in the Army as well as his civilian life. He was a Drill Sergeant for three years where he became a Level 3 instructor in the Modern Army Combatives Program, teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style self defense classes to thousands of Soldiers. He was a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a graduate of the U. S. Army Physical Fitness School and the Master Fitness Program. He was a graduate of the Nutritionist Program and was a Program Manager for the Army Body Composition Program. He specialized in group fitness programs and providing personalized programs to individuals. He is currently re-certifying as a Group Fitness Instructor with the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
Brent has traveled the country competing in Spartan Races, completing the Super, the Beast and the Ultra Beast races. He has run multiple marathons, half-marathons, 5K and 10K races, to include finishing the Honolulu Marathon 7 times. Brent has a goal of putting together an All-Lanai team to compete in the Spartan Race at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu in 2019.
