Chanda Schutte

ChandaChanda joined LCHC in June of 2016 as a full time Dental Assistant. Chanda completed her on the job and distance learning training and received her Dental Assistant Certificate in 2016. Prior to joining LCHC, she graduated from Wai’anae High School in 2012 magna cum laude. Chanda was born on Oahu and moved to Lāna’i in 2013 to start her family. Chanda is interested in preserving her Hawaiian heritage by dancing with Hālau Hula ‘O Lāna’ikāula on Lana’i and has undertaken course study towards that end. She was promoted to LCHC dental assistant supervisor in 2019. Her duties include supervision of the three dental assistants in the clinic and day-to-day oversite of operational activities, including (but not limited to) clinic coverage of staff, supply and inventory, accounting with RCM360 and infection control. Chanda continues to grow passionate about health care through this opportunity she was given by LCHC in the dental field. Chanda hopes to one day further a career in the dental field in pursuing a RDH or a Pediatric Dentist degree. Her goal is to be a great role model for her keiki and to give back to the communities that have taken care of her and her ohana.
