Welcome to Lāna`i Community Health Center

The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Daniel A. Rodriguez, PsyD

Daniel or “Danny” Rodriguez is a postdoctoral psychology fellow with LCHC and I Ola Lāhui Rural Hawaiʻi Behavioral Health. He earned his doctorate of clinical psychology (PsyD) at the George Fox University Graduate School of Clinical Psychology. There, he also received his master’s degree in clinical psychology, and he received his bachelorʻs degree in psychology from George Fox University. He completed his predoctoral internship with I Ola Lāhui which included a clinical placement at Waimānalo Health Center, providing integrated behavioral health services to patients on the Windward Side of Oʻahu.

His clinical interests include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic Psychology. He is passionate about working with underserved people groups, particularly ethnic minorities, and has engaged in multiple research experiences on multicultural psychology and diversity. He brings experience in crisis consultation, health psychology, brief intervention in medical settings, and community mental health. He also has experience in teaching undergraduate level courses.

In his free time, Danny enjoys hiking, reading, exploring the beautiful Hawaiian islands with his wife, Rebecca, and cheering on the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.
