The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Dr. Katy Tan was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia. She then attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, and graduated with Honors with her Doctorate degree. Dr. Tan was a dedicated student ambassador, and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa for her academic excellence. Dr. Tan had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia with VOSH International to provide eye care services to underserved populations. Dr. Tan loves cooking, baking, singing, and traveling. So far, Tan has been to 8 countries outside of North America, and plans to add to that list in the upcoming years.
