
Dr. Jeesun Nam is a board-certified pediatrician who was born in South Korea and has lived most of her life in California. She attended the University of California at Berkeley and earned her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She then completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in southern California. She currently also practices at the University of California Irvine Family Health Center.
Dr. Nam has been a neonatal hospitalist and general pediatric hospitalist. She has spent most of her career caring for children as a clinic pediatrician. She has also volunteered with Operation Smile in Mexico, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, and Madagascar, working with health professionals from all over the world in treating children and adults with cleft lips and palates. Six years ago, Dr. Nam obtained her Masters in Public Health in Boston, focusing on health systems and quality improvement.
Dr. Nam’s goals are to promote healthy habits, provide meaningful high-quality patient-centered care, and work with students and colleagues in becoming future leaders in pediatrics.
