The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Matthew Mano, a long-time friend of one of the LCHC founding mothers, Phyllis McOmber, became a board member in September 2017. Matt grew up on Lāna’i and attended Lāna’i High and Elementary School. Mr. Mano brings to the board a strong interest and expertise in health, government affairs, and labor relations. Mr. Mano worked at Lāna’i High and Elementary School, as an education assistant taking care of students with mental and physical disabilities. Matt now works at the County of Maui Lāna’i Wastewater Treatment Plant as an operator ensuring a safe environment for the community. In his free time, Matt enjoys the outdoors with family and friends.
