A resident of Lāna‘i since 1992, Monique Bolo joined the Health Center in February 2015. After graduating from Lāna‘i High School, Monique Bolo moved to California to pursue her studies. She went to Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles and later transferred to a community college near Sacramento, California to study exercise sports science. While living in northern California, she married her high school sweetheart who is also from Lanai. After her husband completed his term in the US Air Force, they moved back to Lāna‘i and now have two children. While working as the Health Center’s wellness coach, Monique is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Hood Education through the University of Hawaii at West Oahu’s online program. Monique loves spending time with her family and friends, taking her children to the beach, fishing and diving with her husband, playing sports, and simply enjoying the outdoors.
