The mission of the Lāna‘i Community Health Center (LCHC) is to take care of the community of Lāna‘i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health, and selected specialty services), as well as working collaboratively with local organizations and off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna‘i. LCHC achieves its mission with an integrated focus on physical, mental, emotional, intellectual and spiritual welfare of our patients. This approach results in individuals with enriched and empowered lives building healthy families in a supportive environment. Our patient centered approach to care provides you with a long-term approach for a lifetime of health. Your health care team will partner with you to live in a healthy manner continuously rather than only reacting to illness and/or injury. As your medical home, LCHC increases your access to care and coordinates your care with others, as needed.
LCHC provides services in a culturally sensitive manner – providing written and oral translation as needed. No one is turned away due to an inability to pay for service. LCHC serves individuals of all ages, ethnicity, gender, and residency — old timers, part-timers, and newcomers. LCHC accepts all insurances and assists its patients with understanding and navigating their insurance coverage questions. LCHC is a nonprofit organization, and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 330e status awarded in September 2007. Clinical services have been provided since August 2008.
