Welcome to Lāna`i Community Health Center

The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Covid-19 Testing Information

What kind of COVID-19 test is LCHC providing?
  • Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test through Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii (CLH)
  • Rapid Antigen test through BD Veritor
LCHC also offers FREE at-home rapid test kits (available while supplies last).
  • Located in our waiting room
How much do the tests cost?
  • CLH will be your insurance for the PCR testing
  • Collections Fees for PCR testing:
    • Lanai Residents: $52
    • In State Travelers: $52
    • Out of State Travelers: 75
  • Rapid Antigen Test: $60
Who should get tested for COVID-19?
  • Anyone having symptoms of COVID-19 (Visit the CDC website for an updated list of Symptoms)
  • Anyone having close contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19
  • Close contact and exposure to COVID-19 occurs when a person is within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive person for more than 15 minutes with or without masks.
  • Have taken part in activities that put them at higher risk for COVID-19 because they cannot socially distance as needed, such as travel, attending large social or mass gatherings, or being in crowded indoor settings.
  • Those referred/recommended to get tested by their healthcare provider or the Department of Health
What do I do if I’ve been tested for COVID-19?

While you self-isolate/quarantine as you wait at home for our staff to contact you with your test results, please follow the Hawai’i State Department of Health’s recommendations.

How can I get my test results?
  • PCR test results will be ready within 24-72 hours after testing.
  • Rapid antigen tests results will be ready within 15-30 minutes.
  • LCHC will give you a call to let you know your test results and we can print or email you a copy of your results.
If you test positive for COVID-19:
  • Positive Test Results, regardless of vaccination status, should isolate at home for 5 days and until symptoms are gone. Continue to wear a mask after isolating through the 10th day of the positive result.
  • There is no need to retest (confirmatory test) at a testing site or doctor’s office. You must notify those you’ve been in contact with during the past 48 hours.
  • If your symptoms worsen, please contact your healthcare provider or doctor’s office. If you don’t have a medical provider and need medical care, please call 808-565-6919
