The Lāna'i Community Health Center’s mission is to take care of the community of Lāna`i by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health and selected specialty services) to the community; providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lāna`i by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener;
and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna`i.

Clinical Psychologist/Behavioral Health Specialist (Full-Time)


JOB OVERVIEW:

  • To provide a full range of Integrated Behavioral Health diagnosis and treatment services for the Lāna’i Community Health Center (LCHC), a federally qualified health center (FQHC) on the island of Lāna’i. This position is located in a remote, rural general practice setting, with approximately 3,000 residents from diverse backgrounds, and is eligible for the Hawaii State loan repayment program.
  • This position is a full‐time, exempt position, with full benefits.
  • While living and working on this small island can be challenging, our opening offers a unique and progressive opportunity to work with an outstanding team of medical and behavioral health providers, supported by medical assistants, case management and outreach workers. Our holistic approach to health care provides a rich, rewarding environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Doctorate or Masters Degree in psychology/counseling or related field; Prefer two or more years of experience; Prefer experience with Adults and Chronic Disease Management in a health‐care setting.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current Hawaii licensure or license-eligible within 3‐6 months of hire. Eligible for credentialing with third‐party
insurance carriers.

Administrative Assistant


Join our LCHC team; we are dedicated to providing patient-centered health care and are looking for someone who can demonstrate the highest level of customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Administrative support to Lanai Community Health Center leadership, providers and staff as needed.
  2. General clerical and project based work.
  3. Project a professional image through in person and phone interaction.
  4. Must adhere to strict confidential policies, HIPPA laws, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Assist in preparation of the provider and student provider schedules and arranges their travel accommodation and housing.  Ensures that the provider is booked for vehicle pickups and drop offs, housing arrangements.
  • Participates in Emergency Preparedness activities, including, but not limited to attending meetings, coordination drills, maintaining LCHC Emergency Preparedness Plan, etc.
  • Assists in coordinating and participates in outreach events.

Facilities Housekeeper


Join our LCHC team; we are dedicated to providing patient-centered health care and are looking for someone who can demonstrate the highest level of customer service.

Duties Include But Not Limited To:

  1. Responsible for cleanliness, safety and maintenance of all LCHC facilities, interior and exterior, rented or owned.
  2. Cleaning including but not limited to dusting, sanitizing,washing windows, sweeping, mopping, laundry, emptying trash, and simple gardening maintenance.
  3. Drop off and pick up of contractors and supplies.
  4. Follow health facility guidelines.
  5. Inventory and stocking of supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience in similar work in healthcare environment.
  2. Knowledge of facilities management, especially in a health care environment.
  3. Experience and training in clinical and/or hospital sanitation.
  4. Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly and fairly.
  5. Driver’s License required.
  6. Ability to work as a team member.
  7. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  8. Ability to implement HIPPA rules and regulations of patient confidentiality.
