Justin Locquiao’s return to Lāna‘i in June 2015 marked the beginning of a new chapter in his professional life, one that brought him back to his roots and into the heart of the community at the Health Center. With an Associate’s Degree in Computer Business Administration from Heald College in Honolulu, Justin possesses a unique combination of technical and administrative skills that have served him well throughout his career.
In his dual role as a Medical Assistant and Referral Specialist Lead, Justin applies his extensive knowledge and experience to provide exceptional care and support to patients. His journey in healthcare began on the mainland in 2005 as a Nursing Assistant in Spokane, Washington, followed by a foray into customer service as a Sales Associate at Macy’s in Las Vegas and Houston, Texas.
Justin’s commitment to advancing his healthcare expertise led him to complete a Certificate of Completion in Medical Assisting from Houston Community College-Coleman College for Health Sciences in 2013. That same year, he earned the esteemed designation of an AAMA Certified Medical Assistant. Furthering his education, Justin is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services Case Management at Davenport University.
Outside of his healthcare career, Justin is passionate about travel and hiking, embracing the opportunity to explore and experience the world’s diverse landscapes and cultures. His love for learning extends to his personal interests, which include watching movies and spending quality time with his family and friends.
