Kris Aceret joined the Lāna‘i Community Health Center (LCHC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner in March 2019, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care. His journey to LCHC began as a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s Graduate Entry Program in Nursing, where he interned and honed his skills in advanced practice nursing.
Kris’s path to healthcare is marked by dedication and service. From his early days as a combat medic and preventive medicine specialist in the US Army to his work as a nurse aide in foster and care homes, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for helping others.
Born and raised on Oahu, Kris pursued his academic goals with vigor, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Hawai’i Pacific University in 2014, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UH-Mānoa in 2017. His clinical rotations provided him with a diverse range of experiences in various medical specialties, including family medicine at Kalihi-Palama Health Center, women’s health at UCERA at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, pulmonology at Pali-Momi Medical Center, pediatric orthopedics at Shriner’s Hospital, cardiology at Kuakini Medical Center, and family medicine at Lāna’i Community Health Center.
In his free time, Kris is an advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle. He enjoys working out, engaging in outdoor activities, and cherishing moments with his family. His personal interests in fitness and the outdoors complement his professional focus on health and wellness, making him a role model for his patients and community.
