Welcome to Lāna`i Community Health Center

The Lāna'i Community Health Center's mission is to take care of the community of Lānai by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health, and selected specialty services) to the community, providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lānai by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener; and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna'i.

Thalia Salazar, RDMS

Thalia Salazar was hired as the Health Center’s ultra-sonographer in January 2015. Ms. Salazar obtained her degree from New York University Medical Center, Allied Health School of Diagnostic Sonography. Ms. Salazar worked at Columbia University and New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center for 6 years. A passion for adventure and travel led Thalia to Hawai’i, where she accepted a position with Maui Radiology Consultants and Maui Memorial Medical Center for a gratifying 15 years. Prior to studying Ultrasound, Thalia enjoyed a wide array of educational and work opportunities including studying Psychology and Philosophy at The New School in New York City and working as a corporate chef for the executives of the Dreyfus Corporation. In October 2013, Thalia decided to become a full time Lāna’i resident, realizing her aspirations of helping the Lāna’i community.
