Dr. Bostic, a native New Englander, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City. He returned to New England in 2010 to complete a residency at the New Hampshire VA Medical Center, followed by 10 years of practice in Maine, primarily at a rural community health center.
Throughout his schooling and career, he has consistently focused on working with unique and underserved populations. His experience includes internships at a teaching hospital in China and a Native American clinic in Oklahoma; founding mobile clinics that served nursing homes, rehab centers, and correctional facilities across rural Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont; and extensive work with Federally Qualified Health Centers. In 2019, Dr. Bostic relocated to California, where he spent time in community health centers, private practice, and free clinic settings while completing his Master of Public Health degree.
He is thrilled to continue his public health journey in the beautiful and supportive community of Lāna‘i, working with a collaborative organization that shares his passion for expanding access to vision services. In his free time, Dr. Bostic enjoys running, surfing, hiking, and going on adventures with his dog.
