Welcome to Lāna`i Community Health Center

The Lāna'i Community Health Center's mission is to take care of the community of Lānai by directly providing health services (primary care, dental, behavioral health, and selected specialty services) to the community, providing activities and services through partnerships with local organizations as well as the many off-island organizations reaching out to Lānai by serving as coordinator, advocate, resource, initiator, and convener; and working collaboratively to provide space for partners who can provide needed services for Lāna'i.

Beverly Zigmond

Beverly Zigmond, former board President, is a long-time member of our community having lived on Lāna’i for 25 years and calls this island and community her ‘home’. She is a former small business owner of Pele’s Garden, Lāna’i’s Health Food Store, which opened in 1995, closing due to the economy in 2001. Wanting to continue to be of service to the community, she worked as a domestic violence advocate for Women Helping Women for 12 years. In 2004 she also accepted a role at Aloha House to provide outpatient substance abuse treatment to juveniles, eventually expanding to serve adults as well. In July 2010 Bev became the first certified substance abuse counselor on this island.  Beverly also provides home visitation services for Maui Family Support Services, where she combines the roles of Family Support Worker, Clinical Specialist, and Child Development Specialist.   She served as a Board member for LCHC early on in our history, and we are very pleased to have her back on our Board now.
