Kris Aceret joined LCHC in March 2019 as a Family Nurse Practitioner after interning as a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s Graduate Entry Program in Nursing. Rising from humble beginnings, he served as a combat medic and preventive medicine specialist in the US Army, and then as a nurse aid for foster and care homes.
Born and raised on Oahu, Kris earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Hawai’i Pacific University in 2014 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UH-Mānoa at in 2017. Kris completed clinical rotations at Kalihi-Palama Health Center (Dr. Chen-Yen Wang, APRN, family medicine), UCERA at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children (Sherri Ruerup, APRN, women’s health), Pali-Momi Medical Center (Dr. Thomas Pollard, pulmonology), Shriner’s Hospital (Vena Joco, APRN, pediatric orthopedics), Kuakini Medical Center (Dr. Pon-Sang Chan, cardiology) and Lāna’i Community Health Center (Jared Medeiros, APRN and Jennifer Hashimoto, APRN, family medicine). Kris enjoys working out, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
