Melorie is a Dental Hygienist. She grew up on the west side of Oahu, Kapolei, and attended Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. She completed her studies at the University at Hawaii at Manoa where she received her BS in Dental Hygiene. During her college career, she was nominated by her employer at the time (Native Hawaiian Student Services) and received the Next Generation Native Hawaiian Leader Award. She was also a Native Hawaiian Health Scholar recipient, which led her to work on Lāna‘i as a licensed dental hygienist in a rural community. Since living here, she’s been able to immerse herself in the “country lifestyle” and practice Hawaiian culture more. In her free time, she enjoys canoe paddling, dancing hula, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her ‘Ohana. Melorie looks forward to serving the Lāna‘i community and educating patients on taking care of their teeth and keeping beautiful healthy smiles.
