Tanisha Magaoay

Tanisha joined the Lanai Community Health Center (LCHC) as a Front Desk Representative in 2017, bringing with her a strong background in customer service and business administration. She shifted careers to become a Community Health Worker in 2019 as she wanted to work with patients, especially the kupuna population. This motivated her desire to help patients get specialty care, and in 2020 joined the Referral Team as a Referral Specialist. Tanisha also first joined WIC in 2018, where she discovered an interest for working with children and expecting mothers. This resulted in the opportunity to take on the WIC LAC role in 2022.

Tanisha’s academic achievements include an Associate of Applied Science degree from the University of Hawai’i, Maui, where she also earned a certificate of achievement in Business Careers. Her commitment to professional development is further demonstrated by her certificates of competence in entrepreneurship, marketing, and supervision. She later continued her education to become a Certified Community Health Worker.

Tanisha’s dedication to her multiple roles, education, and family demonstrate her strong work ethic and her love for the Lāna’i community. Her desire to serve others makes her an essential asset to the Lana’i community and LCHC.
